With the increase of environmental awareness, efficiency is now one of the main selling points for power supply and computer manufacturers. Following this trend, ST is releasing a new family of high-performance power Schottky rectifiers.
The STPS50U100C is the first member of this new family. It is a dual 50 A, 100 V power Schottky rectifier, suited for high-frequency switched-mode power supplies.
Featuring an ultra-low forward voltage drop combined with a low leakage current, this device is intended for use in notebook adaptors, game stations and desktop PCs, as well as server SMPS. It is specifically intended to help power supply manufacturers comply with the recently introduced worldwide efficiency standards.
The ULVF™ series is intended for secondary rectification in switched-mode power supplies, and helps designers comply with stringent energy-savings standards.
The STPS50U100C is housed in both TO-220AB and I²PAK packages.
