STMicroelectronics has recently introduced a family of clock distribution circuits. Used to provide a common frequency clock to multi-mode RF applications, these clock ICs can also be used as clock references for baseband peripheral applications in mobile phones, such as WLAN, Bluetooth, GPS and DVBH. They isolate each device driven by their clock outputs and minimize interference between the devices. Each of the clock buffers can be disabled to
lower the power consumption, optimizing battery life in handheld devices. They are currently available in 2 or 4 output unity-gain clock circuits.
